Synchronous Orbit DOES NOT Explain The Moon's Lack of Apparent Rotation

The moon is said to be rotating at the rate of once per twenty-seven days.

This is an axial rotation, it is said, but we don't see it's other side because its spin is countered by its orbit. This synchronized rotations is said to explain why we only see one single face of the moon.

No matter the phase, it's always the same face. Yet, we're to believe it rotates once per twenty-seven days. Looking at the animated diagram below you can see an orbital top view of the Earth and moon.

As you examine this, ask yourself "how does the moon both rotate AND never show it's back side to us?"

Here are my latest two videos which touch on this topic. I ask one: is it even possible, and two, how will the proposed space elevators work? Wouldn't the moons axial rotation tangle up the elevator cords?
